The map below shows documented polar bear sightings in Iceland 1880-2016

Website of the research project “Polar Bears Out of Place”. The project received a three year grant from The Icelandic Centre for Research (RANNÍS) in 2019. The project is based in Iceland University of the Arts and is directed by Bryndís H. Snæbjörnsdóttir and Mark Wilson.

Vefsvæði rannsóknarverkefnisins Ísbirnir á villigötum. Verkefnið fékk þriggja ára styrk frá Rannsóknarmiðstöð Íslands (RANNÍS) árið 2019. Verkefnið er hýst í Listaháskóla Íslands og er stjórnað af Bryndísi H. Snæbjörnsdóttur og Mark Wilson.
